Overview of Brain Aneurysm

Aneurysm brain aneurysm is a weakened, bulging area in the wall of an artery within the brain. It is often compared to a balloon filled with blood. It is also known as a cerebral aneurysm or intracranial aneurysm.

They may be diagnosed incidentally when the patient undergoes some sort of screening of brain like MRI or CT for any other condition. This is named as unruptured aneurysm. Or may present as an emergency in form of a ruptured aneurysm. Some unruptured aneurysm when left untreated, can rupture causing complications. Rupture of aneurysm leads to a life-threatening bleeding inside the brain known as a subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH). The severity of a brain Brain damage by this kind of bleeding  depends on various factors. These include its size and location of the ruptured Aneurysm and the overall patient’s health.

“Aneurysms may not exhibit symptoms until rupture,” cautions Dr. Raveesh Sunkara. “Thus, early detection and intervention are crucial for preventing complications.”

I have known Dr. Raveesh sunkara since 2020. I approached him when my friend diagnosed with brain hammarage. I was absolutely broken when I came to know that. He has given very good treatment and monitored his health continually. He has always been very supportive and very accessible in the hour of our need despite his busy work schedules. He takes time to know his patients, inquires about all concerns and issues they have and resolves them and makes sure that their stress levels are low. The care, concern and professionalism that he shows to his patients is amazing. There were a lot of times when he lost interest in his life, became so depressed. But, undoubtedly, it is because of him that he have become so positive after those gruelling hours of rehabilitation and other kinds of medical treatment. Even now, when we go for annual checkups he treats with him with as much care. Moreover, whenever I recommended him to some of my friends/acquaintances who had similar health issues, he treated them in the same way, with utmost care and concern. All I can say is that he is a great doctor and, more than that, an awesome human being.

Dr. Raveesh performed my husband's surgery. It's been more than one month now and he is doing well now. He is a very nice doctor . After diagnosing the problem, he explained the problem and required procedure to be done to me and my family. He advised to get the surgery done immediately rather than to wait . He assured that my husband would be fine and there is no life risk in doing surgery. During the hospitalization period, he was very supportive. He got in touch even after discharge to check about my husband's well being. He has lot of patience and good professional experience.
